Sailors at Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni in Japan are hard at work refurbishing a Landing Craft Mechanized Mark-8 or “Mike" boat that transported service members during the Vietnam War. MCAS-1 has been on land for the past five years, but is now being pressed into service for explosive ordinance disposal runs.
