SAFE Boats International, Bremerton, Wash., has been awarded a cooperative purchasing contract through Sourcewell, allowing public agencies to procure the company’s vessels through a streamlined purchasing process.
Sourcewell provides competitively solicited cooperative purchasing contracts for government, education, and nonprofit organizations across North America. Contracts are awarded through a formal request for proposal process, enabling participating agencies to purchase equipment directly through pre-negotiated contracts without issuing their own RFPs.
Under the Sourcewell contract, eligible agencies can purchase SAFE Boats through pre-negotiated terms and not-to-exceed pricing, reducing procurement timelines and administrative requirements.
SAFE Boats builds welded aluminum vessels for public-sector operators, including patrol boats, interceptor craft, fire-rescue vessels, and other public safety watercraft used by law enforcement, fire departments, and military customers.
The company said the cooperative purchasing contract is intended to simplify procurement for agencies operating in time-sensitive environments by reducing acquisition timelines and administrative workload.
Public agencies interested in purchasing through the contract can access the agreement through Sourcewell’s cooperative purchasing program.
