Eastern Shipbuilding Group Inc. (ESG), Panama City, Fla., has named Lance C. Lemcool its new vice president of commercial sales and marketing.

He replaces Steve Berthold who retired at the end of 2020.

He has managed many robust programs and contracts, focusing on maximizing efficiency and profit growth. Lemcool’s diverse background includes executive management, commercial and government business development, production operations, program management, contract and subcontract management, purchasing, estimating, and proposal development.

“I’m very excited to be part of Eastern,” said Lemcool. “I have followed ESG since the beginning of my shipbuilding career and am humbled that the D’Isernia family feels my skill set will fit well within Eastern’s can-do culture and first-time quality approach to building ships.”

ESG, a family held shipbuilding company, is the largest private employer in Bay County, Fla. Since 2008, Eastern has spent more than $75 million upgrading and expanding its facilities and shipbuilding capabilities.
