A barge carrying wrecked cars tipped into Victoria, British Columbia's Gorge waterway on Aug. 28, spilling approximately 100 cars into the narrow tidal inlet that connects Victoria Harbor to Portage Inlet. Owned by Seaspan, the barge picked up its cargo from a scrap metal yard that is run by Schnitzer Steel. Stabilization and salvage operations are ongoing.
