Elliott Bay Design Group (EBDG) has hired Ray De Cicco as senior structural engineer.
A 41-year veteran of the maritime industry, De Cicco brings in-depth expertise in hull structural design, hull foundation design and hull outfitting design, as well as read piping, heating and ventilation, and liaison engineering.
De Cicco has worked on a variety of vessels developing 3D structural models and production drawings. He oversaw the conversion of U.S. Navy submarines and has served as a liaison for engineering and production, developing detailed sketches and helping to resolve technical issues.
"Ray's wealth of experience is a great asset to our firm as we continue to grow," said Joe Pritting, EBDG president. "He worked with us as a subcontractor in 2001, and we are pleased to welcome him aboard as a permanent member of our team. He does great work."
De Cicco is a graduate of the Institute of Design and Construction and the Delehanty Institute.
EBDG is an employee-owned company with offices in Seattle, New Orleans and Ketchikan, Alaska that provides naval architecture, marine engineering and production support services to owners, operators and shipyards across the country.
