Last month, the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM)  announced the availability of the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (Draft EIS) for the proposed Maryland Offshore Wind Project.

As part of that announcement, BOEM has scheduled four public meetings during the comment period that ends Nov. 20. The input received during the comment period will go into the preparation of the Final EIS. 

The in-person and virtual public meetings will be held on the following dates and times. All times are eastern.

In-person meetings:

  • Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2023, at 5:00 p.m.
    Ocean City Elementary School, 12828 Center Drive, Ocean City, MD 21842
  • Thursday, Oct. 26, 2023, at 5:00 p.m.
    Indian River High School, 29772 Armory Road, Dagsboro, DE 19939

The in-person meetings will follow an informal open house format with a series of project information posters staffed by BOEM subject matter experts to share information with individual attendees.

Virtual public meetings:

The virtual public meetings are on the following dates. Registration is required. All times are eastern.
