Marinevac, which specializes in the cleaning of vacuum toilet systems aboard private and commercial vessels, announces its new links with GC Marine and Pines Marine Consulting, both established businesses in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., as part of the company’s recent expansion plans.

Marinevac, which services vessels of all sizes ranging from yachts to cruise ships and naval vessels, has operating in the Mediterranean for several years from their base in Palma, Mallorca.

Marinevac USA will now be offering the company’s unique method of removing scale build up from marine waste systems. David Pines and Guy Clifford will head up the operation with the support of their local team, the company says.

“I am delighted to have the opportunity of working with David and Guy who have a wealth of experience in the yachting industry. Because of their background they fully appreciate the problems that can be encountered if a marine toilet system is left untreated,” says David Ballyn, Marinevac’s managing director, in a company news release. “Marinevac has worked hard to build an excellent reputation and is proud to say that a lot of our business comes from regular customers, many of them being some of the finest super yachts in the world. We needed a presence in the United States but had to be very careful to choose the right partner to professionally promote and carry out our service. Having met with David and Guy I am confident that the strategic partnership will prove to be a success.”

I am extremely impressed with the simplicity and effectiveness of the Marinevac System,” says Pines, who will service as technical director for Marinevac USA. “I know from my years as a captain and engineer that this type of necessary maintenance is quite often ignored because of the time involved and disruption to the daily running of the vessel. Marinevac USA now offers a solution that enables the vessel to function as normal with no down time.”

Marinevac USA is now offering its new service on the U.S. Eastern Seaboard as well as in the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean. Marinevac is also available in Spain, the Balearic Islands, Southern France, Italy, Sardinia, Malta, Croatia and Montenegro.
