Burger Boat Company, Manitowoc, Wis., launched the 340-passenger Lucia, an 89' steel passenger vessel for Wendella Sightseeing Company, on May 29.

Designed by Timothy Graul Marine Design, Sturgeon Bay, Wis., the new tour boat was launched into the Manitowoc River.

The Lucia is styled after other vessels in Wendella's fleet and will be used for their signature lake and river tour, the Chicago River architecture tour, specialty cruises and private events. The vessel features an enclosed climate-controlled main deck cabin with a black granite bar. The upper deck provides ample space for guests to mingle and enjoy views of Chicago's magnificent skyline.

The Lucia is certified Subchapter K and powered by two Caterpillar C12 main engines and has two Northern Lights generators.

Burger Boat, founded in 1863, has built a variety of vessels including towboats, patrol craft, passenger vessels, ferries, research vessels and naval craft.
