SAFE Boats International debuted its 41’ full cabin (FC) patrol vessel at this year’s International WorkBoat Show (IWBS).

The boatbuilder said the vessel’s hull was based on the company’s 41’ Interceptor model and is the latest advancement in SAFE Boats’ offshore patrol craft lineup. The design is available in T-top and walk-around cabin configurations. SAFE Boats noted the cabin brings enhanced ergonomics, expanded mission flexibility, and improved crew comfort to one of the company’s most trusted platforms.

Two 41’ FC builds have already been delivered, one to the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) and the other to the Massachusetts Environmental Police. This latest configuration, also bound for FWC, represents the third completed vessel in the 41’ FC series. New to this build are minor cabin adjustments and an installed Seakeeper 6 gyrostabilizer.

The vessel is outfitted with quad 450-hp Yamaha XTO Offshore outboards and a 650 gals. fuel tank.

“The International WorkBoat Show is the perfect stage to debut this new vessel offering to the commercially available product lineup,” said Rob Goley, director of business development and strategy at SAFE Boats International. “The 41’ FC combines the speed and durability operators expect from SAFE with the mission-driven design refinements being asked for by our customers.”

Tony Van Meter, vice president of sales at Shocks Seats spoke to the All Salts 4600 seats and their ability to drop down for increased empty space for the operator. “This is good for the crews when they want to get out the side doors, or they want to stand and operate. You can drop both down, and ingress and egress is really, really good,” Van Meter said.

“A number of our designs were born on SAFE Boats,” Van Meter said, before noting that roughly 40% of their seat designs were built strictly for the Bremerton boatbuilder before moving on to the general public.

“Our approach to seats is, you know, world-class shock mitigation is a given. But what we provide that’s different from our competitors is we approach it from the user’s perspective. We understand you’re going to need shock mitigation, but what’s your job on the boat when you’re out there. How can we design a seat to function in a way that that supports what you’re doing on the boat?”

Unique to SAFE Boats is the number of employee’s the Bremerton, Wash., boatbuilder brings to IWBS. For each boat brought to the show, SAFE Boats sends the team that was involved in its design, this year numbering 27 team members.
