Simplex Americas has added Paul R. Cooper, who has over 35 years of marine industry experience, to its sales team.
Flemington, N.J.-based Simplex Americas is the exclusive sales and service station for North, Central, and South America, including The Caribbean (but not Brazil and Argentina), for SKF Blohm & Voss Industries of Hamburg, Germany. Simplex Americas is also the official SKF USA marine solutions specialist, acting as SKF sales representative and preferred service partner for the North American marine propulsion systems market.
Cooper, a U. S. Marine Corps veteran, began his career as a marine diesel engine technician, worked his way up to workshop manager and was subsequently promoted to service sales and sales support manager throughout the United States and various locations abroad.
Cooper will be based in New Orleans, which Simplex Americas says is one of its busiest operational areas. He will serve as the Simplex Americas executive for new business development and will operate as the account executive responsible for handling Simplex Americas’ existing clients, principals and manufactured products.
With assets strategically located New Jersey, Louisiana, Washington state, Panama, and Chile, Simplex Americas says it is well-placed to handle all marine propulsion equipment sales and service requirements in The Americas.
