Elliot Bay Design Group announces it has added two new marine engineers to its team. Nick Bannon joins EBDG’s Seattle office while John T.D. Lair joins its New Orleans office. 

“We’re extremely pleased to have both of these gentlemen onboard with us,” says Brian King, EBDG’s vice president of engineering, in a company news release. “We’ve made a strategic commitment to grow this company in 2014 and beyond, and Nick and John are just the type of mission-driven hires with the right mix of skills that will enable us to continue expanding and innovating in ways that serve our customers best.”

Bannon comes to EBDG with eight years of industry experience including extensive knowledge of Coast Guard regulations, marine systems and small business practices. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Washington, Seattle, and is a member of SNAME.

Lair has over 34 years of engineering experience encompassing system design, machinery design and field engineering with hands-on experience in piping and outfitting hull groups. He holds a master’s degree in engineering and is a licensed professional engineer.
