Built in 2019, the Peterson Gas is a 34'x12'x6' steel hulled fuel ship built and owned by Peterson Fuel, Fort Lauderdale, Fla. The latest fuel ship, as the company refers to them, joins the Peterson fleet to service mostly the recreational boat market in the Miami and Fort Lauderdale area.

Sporting a 3' draft and 20 dwt., the Peterson Gas is powered by twin Suzuki 225 outboards with stainless-steel, 3-bladed props, giving the boat an 8-knot running speed. For additional maneuverability, the new fuel ship has custom-made bow and stern thrusters and a Sea Star steering system.

The Peterson Gas can carry a cargo of up to 2,500 gals. of fuel. It also was fitted with a Yanmar 3JH40 auxiliary engine to run its hydraulic systems.
