Ft. Lauderdale-based Resolve Marine, a global provider of marine salvage, emergency response, and industrial marine services, has merged with the marine division of Construction Solutions International (CSI). A statement released on March 3 noted the move strengthens Resolve’s presence in the U.S. Gulf region by enhancing its marine service centers with additional personnel, equipment, and a tow vessel.
The statement said that CSI, a regional industrial marine and commercial diving services company, has been a key provider for industries along the Theodore Industrial Canal and West Mobile, Ala., since its founding in 1984. The transaction, finalized on Feb. 25, 2025, includes cranes, barges, specialized equipment, and the 64’ shallow-draft river tug M/V Enterprise. The vessel’s captain and three crew members will also transition to Resolve.
The statement noted that CSI founder, Jerry W. Bailey Jr. will continue with Resolve Marine, focusing on business development efforts. The CSI marine division will be integrated into Resolve’s marine service centers under the leadership of A.W. McAfee, director of marine service centers.
Adam Buffington, manager of marine service centers, Gulf Coast, emphasized the strategy behind the merger: “With the establishment of marine service centers as a new division within Resolve Marine, adding skilled personnel, equipment, and a tow vessel positions us to better serve the region’s growing demand. Our team has expanded to 21 professionals, all with expertise in diving services, vessel inspections, marine construction, and industrial solutions. This includes dredging, dock repair, demolition, salvage, emergency response, and environmental services.”
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
