SunQuest Cruises, Miramar Beach, Fla., recently took delivery of Sol y Luna, a two-deck passenger vessel built for excursion, sightseeing, and party cruises from Northwest Florida.
The twin-hull aluminum vessel was designed by naval architects DeJong & Lebet Inc., Jacksonville, Fla., and constructed by Victoria Marine, Palatka, Fla. The 54'x16' vessel has a 2'3" draft.
The Sol y Luna is certificated to Coast Guard Subchapter T and has a capacity of 110 passengers and crew on protected waters and 80 passengers and crew on partially protected waters.
The boat's covered main deck includes a steering console, seating area, two heads, and a small bar area. The second deck is open with additional seating.
DeJong & Lebet said the vessel was designed with an 8' deck-to-deck height, providing generous headroom on the covered main deck. The design also eliminates interior stanchions — except along the side railings — creating an open, unobstructed floor plan.
The vessel is powered by a pair of Yamaha 250-hp outboard motors. It carries 110 gals. of fuel on the main deck aft, with water and sewage tanks in the hulls.
The vessel is equipped with lighting from IMTRA and Advantec-Freeman deck hatches.
