Matt Garner has been appointed as president of naval architecture and marine engineering firm TAI Engineers LLC, New Orleans.
Garner brings over 28 years of executive leadership and technical expertise in maritime technology and defense systems. He most recently served as vice president of engineering at Trident Maritime Systems LLC, Arlington, Va., following senior roles at Gibbs & Cox, Arlington, and nearly 20 years with the U.S. Navy’s Naval Sea Systems Command.

Garner holds master's degrees in Systems Engineering Management from the Naval Postgraduate School and Naval Architecture from the University of New Orleans. He recently expanded his executive expertise with certificates from Columbia Business School. His honors include two U.S. Navy Meritorious Civilian Service Awards and the Superior Civilian Service Award.
Garner succeeds Bill Krewsky, who has served as TAI president since 2023.
