LeBeouf Bros. Towing, Bourg, La., has completed the deployment of OpenTug’s BargeOS platform across its commercial, dispatch and financial operations.

The phased implementation covers voyage and cargo planning, dispatch, predictive arrival times, invoice generation and reconciliation, performance reporting and marketing. According to OpenTug, LeBeouf is the first barge operator to deploy the platform across its entire business.

LeBeouf transports liquid cargoes throughout the inland waterway system. The company said it adopted the software to connect voyage planning, fleet operations, financial processes and performance reporting through a centralized system.

“BargeOS has helped us improve visibility across our operations while simplifying processes that were previously manual, allowing our teams to spend more time focused on serving customers and managing our fleet,” said Mark Bourgeois, executive vice president of LeBeouf Bros. Towing.

BargeOS also provides automated traffic validation and cargo-planning tools. OpenTug said the platform is intended to reduce manual data entry and improve coordination between commercial and operations personnel.

“Our goal has never been to change how experienced operators work. We instead aim to provide better information, reduce manual effort, and connect critical workflows that have traditionally lived in separate systems,” said Jason Aristides, OpenTug CEO and co-founder. “Partnering with LeBeouf Towing represents an exciting milestone in the maturation of BargeOS and demonstrates what modern marine operations can actually look like.”
