Laborde Products expands Mitsubishi dealer network with 5R Enterprises

Laborde Products has added 5R Enterprises LLC, Morris, Ill., to its dealer network, expanding sales and service support for Mitsubishi Marine Engines across the Midwest.

The agreement was signed during the Inland Marine Expo in Nashville, Tenn., where the two companies formalized a partnership aimed at increasing local support for commercial marine operators working throughout the region's inland waterways.

Under the agreement, 5R Enterprises will represent Mitsubishi Marine Engines and provide sales, service, and technical support to customers operating along the Midwest river system.

While new to the marine engine sector, 5R Enterprises brings experience in heavy equipment, material handling, and river-industry operations. Laborde said the company is known throughout Illinois and northern Indiana for its equipment sales and rental business and plans to expand its presence in the commercial marine market through the Mitsubishi product line.

Laborde Products said the addition of 5R Enterprises reflects its ongoing effort to grow its dealer network and provide regional support for vessel operators closer to where they work.

Laborde noted that 5R Enterprises' location along a major inland transportation corridor allows it to serve commercial operators throughout the Midwest and inland river markets.
