Crowley has named Brea Schmidt chief financial officer, putting her in charge of financial planning, capital allocation and governance across the Jacksonville, Fla., company’s logistics, shipping, government and energy businesses.
Schmidt reports to chairman and CEO Tom Crowley. She joined the company in 2025 as vice president of finance, leading financial planning and analysis across the business. She previously served as CFO of Alaska Communications.
“Brea brings experience built in capital-intensive businesses, and she is a strong, collaborative leader focused on high performance, strategic planning and analysis and delivering value and return on investment,” Crowley said.
Schmidt holds a business administration degree from Washburn University and is a chartered financial analyst. She previously held a certified public accountant license.
