The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) and the Oregon Department of Land Conservation and Development (DLCD) will hold a BOEM Oregon Intergovernmental Renewable Energy Task Force (Task Force) webinar on Thursday.

The webinar will be held on Oct. 21 from 8:30 am – 4:00 pm Pacific Time. Public comment opportunities will be provided.

The purpose of the meeting is to:

  1. Update Task Force members on the offshore wind energy planning and studies since the June 2020 meeting.
     
  2. Discuss next steps toward offshore wind energy leasing in Oregon.

The Task Force is an intergovernmental group, made up of federal, state, local, tribal, and elected officials. Members of the public are invited to listen, and there will be an opportunity for questions and comments after the close of the morning and afternoon sessions.
