Weeks Marine Inc., Covington, La., has been awarded two U.S. Army Corps of Engineers dredging contracts worth a combined $39 million, according to contracts dated Sept. 24.
The company received a $28.1 million firm-fixed-price contract for maintenance dredging of the Kings Bay Entrance Channel in Camden County, Ga., and Nassau County, Fla. Work will be performed in St. Marys, Ga., with completion expected by March 30, 2026. Funding came from fiscal 2025 operation and maintenance, Army funds. The Corps’ Jacksonville District is overseeing the project.
Weeks Marine also secured an $11.1 million modification to an existing contract for dredging in the Bayport Ship Channel in La Porte, Texas. The change increases the contract’s total value to $69.3 million. Work is scheduled to finish by Dec. 31, 2025, under the Corps’ Galveston District. Funding came from fiscal 2025 civil operation and maintenance funds.
