The cold days of November brought about a big surge in distillate moves along the East Coast, where gallons moved were up 10.5% from the previous month.
According to the U.S. Department of Energy’s monthly PrimeSupplier Report for "Petroleum & Other Liquids" released in late November, despite these increased moves, East Coast volume transported is actually lagging those of other regions, compared to the previous year.

Year to date sales volumes of #2 distillate within the “PADD 1” (which comprises multiple regions of the U.S. East Coast) were up 6.5% from 2013, compared with a gain of 21.7% in the PADD3 (U.S. Gulf region).
