Maritime software company TowWorks LLC, Houston, announced that its chief operating officer, Blake Boyd, has been promoted to chief executive officer.
Boyd has served as TowWorks’ COO since 2017 and brings more than 20 years of maritime industry experience spanning marine operations, business development, fleet growth, and strategic leadership. He has held leadership positions with J. Russell Flowers Inc., Greenville, Miss., and Florida Marine Transporters LLC, Mandeville, La.
As part of this leadership transition, TowWorks founder and CEO Richard Tiller will move into the role of president of MoorData, an affiliated company focused on data lake and reporting solutions for the maritime industry.
TowWorks is a SaaS company that provides a cloud-based platform for the marine industry, automating operational tasks such as vessel dispatching, barge planning, billing, compliance management, and voyage planning.
