Terral RiverService, Lake Providence, La., has announced plans to add two new towboats to its inland waterways fleet, with both vessels currently under construction at Intercoastal Iron Works, Houma, La.

Designed by Farrell and Norton Naval Architects, Newcastle, Maine, the twin-screw conventional towboats will each measure 78'x30' with an 8' draft.

Each vessel will be powered by Mitsubishi Tier 3 main engines rated 803 hp at 1,400 rpm. Propulsion packages will also include Twin Disc MGX5321DC reduction gears and 76"x53”x4" wheels.

Additional equipment includes John Deere generators and Wintech RT-40 winches.
