American Offshore Services (A-O-S), North Kingston, R.I., has taken delivery of its fourth crew transfer vessel (CTV), the all-aluminum 99'x36.7' Gamekeeper, built in Louisiana by Metal Shark.

A-O-S' G-class boats, which can carry up to 24 passengers, are twin-hull CTVs powered by four Volvo Penta D13-700 DST main engines with IPS900 Q2 propulsion drives, two in each hull. The fully integrated system also includes Volvo Penta’s GPS-based dynamic positioning system and integrated joystick controls, designed to increase maneuverability even in conditions of strong currents and high waves. All subsystems are connected by Volvo Penta’s electronic vessel control data network.

“Progress doesn’t stop and neither do we,” Michael Burbelo, managing director at A-O-S, said in a statement announcing the delivery. “We are proud to continue to expand our fleet with high-performing and reliable vessels that are built in America, for America.”

With an operational draft of 6.2', capacities include 10,000 gals. of fuel and 790 gals. fresh water.

The electronics suite contains a Furuno FR-2117BB radar, Furuno ECDIS fully classified telchart, Furuno AIS, Furuno satellite compass SC-50, Furuno GP-150 GPS/DGPS, Furuno FCV-620, Furuno NX-700B Navtex, Simrad AP-50 autopilot, and Taiyo Musen TDL1550 VHF DF crew finder receiver.

There are cargo decks both fore and aft with a maximum capacity of 20 tons. The boat is outfitted with a PK12000MC Palfinger forward deck crane.

[WorkBoat reported earlier that the boat was built at Blount Boats. But the boat was built at Metal Shark.]
