The Shipbuilders Council of America has named John Rhatigan chairman and Chuck Goddard vice chairman of its Industry Partners Committee.
Rhatigan, chairman of the Marine Machinery Association, succeeds Mark Haller, president and owner of Tri-Tec Manufacturing LLC. Rhatigan previously served as the committee’s vice chairman and is entering his fourth consecutive year in a committee leadership position.
“The Shipbuilders Council of America is a tireless advocate for the maritime industrial base suppliers that hail from all 50 states and power the most advanced maritime industrial base in the world,” Rhatigan said. “Now more than ever, the voice of maritime suppliers is essential for aligning national purpose with industrial capacity.”
Goddard is president of K&G Maritime Strategies LLC. As vice chairman, he will help represent the suppliers, manufacturers and service providers that support U.S. shipbuilding and repair operations.
“The Industry Partners Committee plays a critical role in strengthening the U.S. maritime industrial base by bringing together the suppliers, manufacturers, and service providers that help sustain the U.S.’ leadership in shipbuilding and ship repair capability,” Goddard said.
Haller said Rhatigan and Goddard would continue the committee’s work supporting the maritime industrial base.

The Washington-based Shipbuilders Council represents companies involved in U.S. shipbuilding, maintenance and repair, including shipyards and their suppliers.
