Seaside LNG, Spring, Texas, has announced a new four-person C-suite leadership team as the company looks to accelerate growth of its integrated LNG bunkering platform in North America.

The company offers shoreside liquefaction, LNG storage, and Jones Act-compliant bunkering capabilities. Its operations are anchored at JAX LNG in Jacksonville, Fla., a small-scale LNG production facility capable of producing 360,000 gals. per day across two trains. Seaside holds a 50% ownership stake in JAX LNG and operates the largest fleet of LNG bunker barges in North America, including the Clean Canaveral, Clean Everglades, and Clean Jacksonville.

The newly assembled executive team brings a combined century of experience in LNG liquefaction, regasification, maritime infrastructure, commercial strategy, and energy finance, according to the company.

Douglas Shanda has been named chief executive officer. He brings more than 30 years of energy sector leadership, including executive roles at Cheniere Energy Inc., Houston, and as president and CEO of Mexico Pacific Ltd., Houston.

"This is a defining moment for Seaside LNG and for North American maritime energy," Shanda said. "We have built the infrastructure, assembled the fleet, and now we have the leadership team to match our ambition to grow our established platform. As LNG demand across the shipping industry reaches historic levels, Seaside is the only fully integrated platform on the continent capable of delivering LNG from liquefaction to vessel — safely, reliably, at scale and on schedule."

Jason Owens joins as chief operating officer, drawing on more than two decades of domestic and international experience in large-scale oil and gas infrastructure. He will oversee project execution, construction planning, safety, and system completions.

Andrew Bonnarens has been appointed chief financial officer. His background is in energy infrastructure finance, and he will lead capital strategy to support fleet expansion and market growth.

Bryan Frey rounds out the team as chief commercial officer. He brings more than 30 years in domestic and international energy, including 20 years focused on the global LNG industry. His experience spans Houston-based roles for Freeport LNG, Macquarie Energy, Marathon Oil Corp., and El Paso Global LNG. Frey will oversee commercial development strategy, LNG supply and marketing, and long-term revenue growth.
