SAFE Boats International has named retired Coast Guard Chief Warrant Officer Ryan O’Meara to its federal business development team. O’Meara joins the Bremerton, Wash., builder as business development manager for federal sales after a 26-year career in the Coast Guard.

During his service, O’Meara held five command positions in surf, heavy weather, and tactical units, including a tour as commanding officer of the National Motor Lifeboat School. After retiring as a CWO4, he worked with Longview Solutions Group, where he supported large-scale disaster response operations with a focus on planning, logistics, and resource coordination.

SAFE Boats officials said O’Meara’s operational background and experience with vessel acquisition and federal contracting will strengthen the company’s ability to support agencies with mission-specific platforms.

“As SAFE Boats continues to grow, it is critical that we evolve to better serve our federal customers with solutions tailored to their most demanding missions,” said Rob Goley, the company’s director of business development. “Ryan’s immense experience with federal contracting, coupled with his operational background, will strengthen our ability to understand customer needs and deliver mission-ready platforms.”
