Ring Power Corp., St. Augustine, Fla., has expanded its distribution agreement with Cox Marine, Shoreham-by-Sea, U.K., giving the company exclusive rights to distribute Cox diesel outboards throughout the United States, the Caribbean, and U.S. territories.

The expanded territory took effect Sept. 1 and builds on Ring Power’s previous distribution role in the Southern states. Canada is not included in the agreement, Ring Power told WorkBoat.

Ring Power expects to support the expanded territory through more than 30 dealers and service locations and is pursuing additional dealers. The company will provide sales support, parts, technical service, dealer development, and technician training for Cox products.

“This expansion reflects the tremendous momentum behind the Cox Marine product line and the confidence both organizations share in the future of diesel outboard technology,” said Patrick Bucci, general manager of Ring Power’s Cox Marine Division.

The companies are targeting commercial, government, military, and recreational markets, with Ring Power saying the broader network will expand support for OEM boatbuilders and operators using diesel outboard propulsion.

Cox Marine’s diesel platform is aimed in part at fleets seeking to operate from existing diesel fuel infrastructure rather than maintain a separate gasoline supply for outboard-powered vessels. The company cites fuel efficiency, durability, and single-fuel compatibility among the platform’s advantages for commercial and government operators.

Ring Power will also distribute Cox Marine’s upcoming 350-hp V8 diesel outboard, which the company told WorkBoat is scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2027.

Cox currently offers its 300-hp V8 diesel outboard. The forthcoming 350 will expand the company’s higher-horsepower diesel outboard lineup for professional and recreational applications.

“We are incredibly excited to further strengthen our partnership with Ring Power,” said Hugh Hudleston, global business development director at Cox Marine. “Ring Power has consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to our products, our customers and the long-term growth of the Cox Marine brand and diesel outboard adoption.”

Ring Power said it will continue investing in dealer development, service infrastructure, technician training, and customer support across the expanded territory.
