Peace of Mind: Insuring Your Crew & Captain’s Well-Being
Tuesday, March 17, 2026 | 11:00am-12:00pm Eastern Time | Free Webinar

Join us for a panel-style presentation on the benefits of obtaining marine license & professional liability insurance for yourself or your USCG-licensed captains and crew (if you’re a company, union, or professional association). On average, the USCG investigates more than 4,000 reportable incidents per year. USCG or other regulatory authority investigations can result in fines, suspension and revocation hearings, and additional out of pocket legal fees or liabilities stemming from shipping casualties or vessel incidents. Like all credentialed professionals, USCG-licensed individuals depend on their licensure to maintain their livelihood and authority to provide professional services. By obtaining professional liability and license insurance, employers demonstrate their commitment to their crew’s well-being, livelihood, and grant peace of mind.
During our webinar, we'll discuss:
- The USCG as a regulatory authority, coverages available to mariners, and USCG data related to investigations and incidents.
- How marine license insurance or additional coverages for captains and crew runs parallel to other insurances in place
- What an individual involved in an incident can expect during an investigation and how does this type of coverage safeguard them and their company at the inception of an incident
- Review of legal case studies and claim scenarios
