Construction & Maintenance Project Lead (Cornet Bay - Marine Crew) In-Training

Under the direction of the Construction & Maintenance Supervisor, this position acts as a lead on marine construction, maintenance, and operational projects. This position may lead and direct two or more trades employees and direct work crews assigned to Construction & Maintenance projects. Acts as an on-site coordinator, the incumbent will oversee and mentor other staff throughout the state on a project level basis for marine infrastructure maintenance and construction.

In Training opportunity/please note: This position may be filled at the Construction and Maintenance Project Lead level or as a Lead in-training at the Construction and Maintenance Project Specialist or Maintenance Mechanic 1 level depending on qualifications. Candidates hired at the Construction and Maintenance Project Specialist or Maintenance Mechanic 1 level will be required to successfully complete an in-training program prior to promoting to the goal class of Construction and Maintenance Project Lead.

Washington State Parks and Recreation is seeking to fill a Construction & Maintenance Project Lead in-training position to serve as one of three highly trained and proficient members of our Marine Crew. The Marine Crew provides complex marine-related construction and maintenance services to State Parks throughout Washington State.

The Marine Crew is a professional and hard-working team that services all of Washington State Parks’ marine infrastructure. Our main goal is to enhance and maintain public access features such as docks and mooring balls. We also service swim floats and regulatory buoys.
