INVITATION FOR BIDS
PURCHASE AND SALE OF A PASSENGER/VEHICLE FERRY
CONTRACT No. 07-2024
The Woods Hole, Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket Steamship Authority (at times hereafter referred to as the "Authority") will accept sealed bids until 2:00 p.m. prevailing time, on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, from responsible and eligible bidders to purchase from the Steamship Authority the M/V Katama, a 235-foot, (LOA) ferry with a U.S.C.G. certified capacity of 143 passengers and a freight deck capacity for an equivalent of approximately 40 car spaces, at the Authority's Procurement Office, which is located at its General Office Building, 228 Palmer Avenue, 2nd Floor, Room 207, Falmouth, Massachusetts 02540, at which time and place the bids will be publicly opened.

The Woods Hole, Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket Steamship Authority (at times hereafter referred to as the "Authority") will accept sealed bids until 2:00 p.m. prevailing time, on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, from responsible and eligible bidders to purchase from the Steamship Authority the M/V Gay Head, a 235-foot, (LOA) ferry with a U.S.C.G. certified capacity of 140 passengers and a freight deck capacity for an equivalent of approximately 40 car - spaces, at the Authority's Procurement Office, which is located at its General Office Building, 228 Palmer Avenue, 2nd Floor, Room 207, Falmouth, Massachusetts 02540, at which time and place the bids will be publicly opened.

Copies of the bid documents may be obtained electronically by contacting the Authority's Procurement Office, telephone (508) 548-5011, extension 515, or email: [email protected]. The vessel may be inspected by appointment, by calling Mark Amundsen, (508) 548-5011, extension 237, or by email at [email protected].
All bids submitted must be accompanied by a Deposit in the form of a certified check on, or a treasurer's or cashier's check issued by a responsible bank payable to the "Woods Hole, Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket Steamship Authority" in the name of which the contract is to be executed. The amount of such Deposit shall be $5,000.00. The Deposit may be applied toward the purchase price. Deposits of the unsuccessful bidders will be returned.
The Steamship Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids
