The Passenger Vessel Association's Green WATERS program provides a comprehensive look at the “Green” movement, while offering realistic ideas for ways in which PVA members can easily adopt or expand environmentally friendly practices.

Adopting the program’s suggested practices, the PVA said, often results in saving money and generating a positive buzz from customers, employees, media, and the community.

The program is voluntary and is intended to help passenger vessel operators that want cleaner, greener business operations without causing financial or operational strain.

On its new webpage, PVA members who wish to become involved in the program can access program information and resources including the new online enrollment form.

Members can start by downloading the program’s electronic manual from the webpage and apply as many green practices to their business as possible. Once vessel operators have implemented the suggested items from the program's checklist, they can share this information with PVA to formally enroll in the program.

After submitting the Best Green Business Practices Checklist form, operators will receive a PVA Green WATERS participation certificate and window decal sticker(s).
