Harvey Gulf Subsea Solutions announced this week that it had been awarded a $4 million contract from the Navy for the chartering of the Harvey Deep Sea.
The multipurpose support vessel Harvey Deep Sea, built in 2013 by Eastern Shipbuilding Group, will provide ROV support, personnel and work in conjunction with Navy personnel in support of a special operations project in the Gulf of Mexico.
The 302'x64' Harvey Deep-Sea is equipped with a 165-ton NOV heave-compensated, subsea knuckle-boom crane capable of lifting/setting at depths up to 10,000 ft.; 15'x18' moon pool; S92 helideck, and has capacity for two ROVs and 70 persons on board.
The MPSV is also equipped with liquid mud and dry bulk tanks for traditional OSV operations and has Enviro+ and Green Passport certifications. It has a clear deck area of 10,369 sq. ft.
