Houston-based Hercules Offshore (NYSE: HERO) will cut 324 jobs related to the anticipated closure of four rigs in the Gulf of Mexico, according to the the Houston Business Journal.
The cuts, which are expected to begin on or about Dec. 31, will be to employees working on offshore rigs in the Gulf, who disembark for travel to the rigs from the company's docks from Galveston and eight locations in Louisiana, according to the Houston Business Journal.
