Winch and deck machinery manufacturer Markey Machine LLC, Seattle, has appointed Eric Rose as president, the company announced.
Rose comes to the manufacturer with a background spanning commercial marine and heavy industrial sectors. He most recently held a senior leadership role at Crowley, where he worked with vessel design and engineering, infrastructure, fleet operations, and vessel construction management teams. Before that, he served as director of business development at Global Diving & Salvage, supporting salvage, marine construction, and emergency response operations domestically and internationally. Earlier in his career, he worked in fleet operations and industrial equipment manufacturing with NC Machinery, representing Caterpillar Inc. and Weiler Products.

CEO Blaine Dempke said Rose's hands-on industry experience drove the decision. "Eric understands this industry from the inside out. He has worked alongside the operators, engineers, and project teams who depend on equipment performing under real operating conditions. That experience makes him exceptionally well-suited to lead Markey."
Rose succeeds Peter Roney, who served as president of Markey Machine since November 2024. Roney left Markey to form New Pacific Industrial, a Vancouver, Wash.-based company specializing in marine and heavy industrial fabrication
