Marine Equipment Solutions (MES) has acquired Humco Marine Products, a longtime supplier of marine hardware, fittings, and related equipment serving commercial, industrial, and government customers nationwide.
An MES statement said the acquisition expands the company’s reach in the marine construction and industrial markets and builds on its portfolio of affiliated companies, including Marine Systems Inc., American Winch, and Pile Hammer Equipment, which together provide barges, rigging, winches, and engineered lifting systems.
“Humco has built its reputation on quality products and trusted relationships,” said Steve Holtgrewe, president of Humco Marine Products. “Joining forces with MES is an exciting next step that ensures our customers will continue to receive the reliable solutions they expect, while gaining access to an expanded range of equipment and services.”
Dan Ellis, CEO of MES, said the acquisition strengthens the company’s ability to provide integrated solutions for marine and heavy construction projects. “Humco’s long-standing reputation for quality and reliability perfectly complements our mission, and together we are positioned to provide more comprehensive, integrated solutions for marine and industrial projects across North America,” Ellis said.
Humco’s catalog includes marine bearings, searchlights, winches, deck fittings, and safety products. MES noted existing customers will continue to receive support through MES’s expanded network and engineering resources.
