Registration is open for the 2022 International WorkBoat Show (IWBS), to be held in New Orleans from Nov. 30-Dec. 2 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.

IWBS officials were unsure of what to expect last year following the show’s cancellation in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. But the 2021 show was a big success, surpassing the expectations of attendees, exhibitors, and show officials.

Show officials expect to build on last year’s momentum, delivering an even bigger and better event in 2022. One indicator is the exhibitors’ list, which, as of Sept. 14, is ahead of expectations, show officials said.

WorkBoat’s Think Tank program will again be a big part of the show. Among the scheduled presentations are: “Workforce Development: Recruiting, Training & Retaining Within the Maritime Industry,” “State of the Inland Waterways,” “Building the U.S. Coast Guard Offshore Patrol Cutter with Eastern Shipbuilding,” and “ARMOR 1 — Using innovative Technology to Protect America’s Most Important Waterway.”

Several of the Think Tank’s most well attended sessions are at Government Maritime Acquisition Day, to be held on Friday, Dec. 2. This year’s program includes: “US Navy Boats & Combatant Craft (PMS 300G): Acquisition” from 10:30 a.m. -11 a.m.; “US Navy Boats & Combatant Craft (PMS 300): Lifecycle Management” from 11 a.m.-11:30 a.m.; and a presentation by the U.S. Coast Guard from 11:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m.

Another popular feature returning to this year's show is the WorkBoat Executive Access Program.  Featuring a dedicated lounge with meeting space, a baggage check, snacks and beverages and some custom-built content for C-Level attendee's and their teams its one more thoughtfull addition to make your WorkBoat experience top notch.
