Intellian Technologies has opened a new 75,500-sq.-ft. manufacturing campus in California, expanding its production capacity to meet growing demand for satellite communications infrastructure tied to non-geostationary satellite orbit (NGSO) networks.

The facility marks Intellian’s first large-scale manufacturing campus outside South Korea and serves as the company’s new U.S. headquarters. The California site adds to Intellian’s two existing manufacturing campuses in Seoul.

The expansion comes as demand continues to grow for ground infrastructure supporting NGSO and multi-orbit satellite networks, which are increasingly used across maritime, government, aviation, and enterprise sectors. For maritime operators, these systems are playing a growing role in vessel connectivity, supporting applications ranging from crew welfare and operational communications to remote monitoring and real-time data transfer, an Intellian statement said.

According to the company, the new facility is intended to strengthen supply chain resiliency by expanding U.S.-based production and positioning manufacturing closer to key North American customers.

Production at the campus includes Intellian’s gateway antenna systems for NGSO networks, along with government and tactical communications systems, including WGS-approved multi-band military user terminals.

“Establishing our first full-scale international manufacturing campus in California is a defining milestone in our global expansion strategy,” said Eric Sung, CEO of Intellian. “The explosive growth of NGSO and multi-orbit networks has made advanced, reliable ground infrastructure more critical than ever.”

Sung said the facility will increase production capacity while improving supply chain responsiveness for operators deploying next-generation satellite networks.

As satellite connectivity becomes increasingly important across commercial and defense maritime markets, expanded ground infrastructure manufacturing is expected to support continued growth in shipboard communications and offshore connectivity solutions.
