The Coast Guard is searching for a an Indian crewman reported missing from a tanker vessel anchored fives miles south of Southwest Pass, Tuesday.
Missing is Ram Mohan Singh, 25.
Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector New Orleans received a report from the 598' Rainbow Quest that Singh was missing after an 8 a.m. muster. The Hong Kong-flagged ship conducted sweeps of the vessel with negative results; no life jackets were reported missing. The vessel has been at the Southwest Pass Anchorage for the past 24 hours. Singh was last seen Monday at 9 p.m. wearing an orange jump suit.
