The Coast Guard reopened the Ohio River to all traffic at Lock and Dam 52 in the vicinity of Paducah, Ky. on Thursday. The river had been closed to vessel traffic since Wednesday when the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers began raising the wickets on the dam.
The Coast Guard urged mariners to monitor VHF-FM channels 16 and 22 for any changes to river traffic.
