FHG Marine Engineering Inc., Pompano Beach, Fla., has acquired Scott Marine Power Inc. (SMP), Fort Lauderdale, Fla., effective July 31, 2026, the company announced Wednesday.
Terms of the deal, which combines two companies serving the yachting, commercial shipping, cruise and government marine sectors, were not disclosed.
SMP's business includes authorized sales and service partnerships with marine equipment manufacturers including MAN, Aventics, Scania, and Yanmar, among other marine propulsion and auxiliary equipment suppliers.
FHG said it plans to retain SMP's workforce while combining the capabilities of both organizations to expand technical resources and support across South Florida and beyond.
FHG is a maintenance, repair, and overhaul firm providing technical services, project management, and lifecycle support to the commercial, government, and offshore maritime sectors. The company is the U.S. service and parts distributor for QuantiParts B.V. legacy Wärtsilä engines, Hamann AG wastewater systems, and Sauer Compressors USA, supplying OEM components, technical expertise, and lifecycle support for onboard systems.
The company said the acquisition reflects its strategy of investing in technical expertise, strategic partnerships, and customer-focused growth in the marine industry.
