Eagle Drydock and Marine Services, Houma, La., is operating from a new 20-acre facility in Bourg, La., expanding its capacity for vessel repair, fabrication and marine construction along the Gulf Coast.
Located on the Intracoastal Waterway, the yard has approximately 2,000 feet of bulkhead and stabilized ground rated at approximately 5,000 pounds per square foot. The site provides access to the Mississippi River, Gulf of Mexico and other Gulf Coast waterways.
The facility’s 700-ton travel lift has 65' of interior clearance, allowing Eagle to accommodate larger vessels and expand its drydocking capabilities, the company said.
Eagle said the additional space, waterfront access and lifting equipment will allow it to take on larger and more complex projects.
