Harbor towing services provider G&H Towing Co., Galveston, Texas, has named Capt. Keith Donohue as its new president, effective Aug. 1, 2026.
Donohue joined G&H Towing in August 2025 as executive vice president, following a distinguished 28-year career in the U.S. Coast Guard.
During his time in the Coast Guard, he served as commander of Sector Houston-Galveston and as deputy sector commander in both Houston-Galveston and Long Island Sound. He also worked as an international port security liaison across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, and served as commanding officer of the Pacific Strike Team. In addition, his career included vessel policy writing at Coast Guard headquarters, as well as leadership roles in marine safety and environmental protection throughout the U.S. and Caribbean. Donohue is also a recipient of the Coast Guard’s Legion of Merit Award.
Donohue has a master's degree in marine affairs from the University of Rhode Island and a bachelor's degree in chemical oceanography from Florida Institute of Technology.
G&H Towing provided harbor ship escorts, docking, and undocking services in the Texas ports of Galveston, Houston, Texas City, Corpus Christi, and Freeport.
