Shipbuilder and maritime services provider Diversified Marine Inc., Portland, Ore., on Monday announced it has acquired Anchorage Launch Services Co., Portland, a Columbia River launch service provider with over 40 years in water passenger transportation, cargo delivery, line-handling, and ship-assist services.

The acquisition combines Anchorage Launch Services' launch capabilities with Diversified Marine's vessel construction, repair, and retrofitting capabilities to form a multiservice maritime company serving the Columbia River System.

"Both companies share a rich history along the Columbia River, a commitment to safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction," said Frank Manning, CEO of Diversified Marine Inc. "This joining of forces will unlock synergies, allowing us to expand our suite of services — from vessel building and maintenance to on-water launch and cargo operations — delivering greater value to our clients across the Pacific Northwest."

Diversified Marine Inc. builds and repairs commercial vessels and barges, specializing in new tug construction. In July 2025, it was acquired by private equity firm Bochi Investments LLC, Lake Oswego, Ore.

Anchorage Launch Services operates five U.S. Coast Guard–certified vessels, ranging from 42' to 65', throughout the Columbia and Willamette Rivers. The company will continue operations under Anchorage Launch Services LLC.

"This partnership creates powerful synergies, transforming us into a true multi-service maritime leader," said Alex Scott, president of Anchorage Launch Services. "Most importantly, the move opens opportunities for our dedicated employees — offering enhanced career growth, training, and stability within a larger, innovative organization. For our valued business partners and customers, it means access to an expanded suite of integrated services, greater reliability, and even stronger support for their operations."
