The CE mark-certified Morse DrumTumblr has a selection of new control options designed to enhance safety and ease of use.
The AC Control Package NEMA 4/12 for non-hazardous applications includes mast and box with: Adjustable timer (a few seconds to 16 hours), start/stop buttons, rotation speeds 2 to 20 RPM, red emergency stop button, lockable main disconnect to stop power to unit, 24V DC control supply, wire terminals to connect safety interlock switch. Also new for hazardous areas are explosion-proof AC controls, NEMA 7/9.

Kongsberg Maritime has been selected by L-3 MAPPS to provide the CCTV system for the Royal Canadian Navy’s (RCN) new class of Arctic Offshore Patrol Ships (AOPS).
Deliverables from Kongsberg Maritime will include a combination of proven harsh environment CCTV cameras and cameras that have been adapted to meet the demands of RCN and the challenging Arctic environment such as an upgraded, high-definition version of the Kongsberg Maritime Helicopter Operations Surveillance System (HOSS), which will assist in monitoring of the take-off and landing operations of the CH-148 Cyclone naval helicopters that the vessels will support.
AOPS is a Government of Canada procurement project expected to equip the Canadian Forces with six naval ice-capable offshore patrol ships able to assert and enforce sovereignty in Canada’s waters where and when necessary, including the Arctic. The first Arctic Offshore Patrol Ship is scheduled to be delivered in 2018.

Larson Electronics has introduced a new LED drop light with end-to-end connectors, ideal for many environments, including shipyards.
Constructed to be completely weather and impact resistant, the FTL-5-LED-ILC-25 is durable enough to withstand drops, falls, and rough handling. Equipped with a 50,000-hour LED T8 lamp, the light is designed to operate at cooler operating temperatures than conventional incandescent and fluorescent lights to reduce the chance of fire and burns. The built-in reflector provides a wide, glare free, and shadowless light field of bright white light.
These universal voltage fluorescent style LED bulbs run on voltage ranging from 120-277V AC and 11-25V AC/DC.
