The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Paul Ignatius (DDG 117) conducts a joint firing exercise with the Royal Moroccan Navy Sigma-class corvette frigate RMNS Sultan Moulay Ismail (614) as part of Atlas Handshake 2023, Aug. 27, 2023. Paul Ignatius is on a scheduled deployment in the U.S. Naval Forces Europe area of operations, employed by the U.S. Sixth Fleet to defend U.S., allied and partner interests.
