Petty Officer 1st Class William Vaughn, a crewmember aboard the Coast Guard cutter Bristol Bay, directs the crane movements on an aids-to-navigation barge during buoy operations on Lake Erie in May. The Bristol Bay’s crew deployed 14 buoys in Lake Erie over a two-day period during the Coast Guard Ninth District’s Operation Spring Restore.
