Interlake Logistics Solutions is seeking CHIEF ENGINEER (Limited)
Interlake Logistics Solutions is looking for a Chief Engineer (Limited) to sail aboard the Tug Undaunted / Barge Pere Marquette 41.
Interlake Logistics Solutions is based out of Ludington, MI and operates on the Great Lakes. Vessels operate from the beginning of March until mid-January due to the seasonal nature.
The typical schedule is a 28/28 rotation during this period. The Chief Engineering officer will live aboard ship 28 days at a time.
The Chief Engineer monitors and maintains the ship’s main power plant, unloading equipment, and auxiliary equipment, both in the engine spaces and on deck. They also handle many other duties including testing of equipment, safety inspections, and filing of reports such an maintenance records.
Minimum License requirement to hold a USCG Chief Engineer (Limited) and TWIC card.

Knowledge in the following areas will be given additional consideration:
- Tug / Barge operations
- Bulk cargo operations
- Competency and understanding of Cummins engines
- Knowledge of ABS Nautical Systems Software
