Open Positions for Two Vessels: Chief Engineer, Assistant Engineer (w/OICEW), Assistant Engineer (w/o OCIEW), QMED, Captain, Chief Mate, Mate, AB & Galley
Vessel #1- M/V Swift Responder: We’re hiring crew members to join the M/V Swift Responder based out of Astoria, OR. The Swift Responder is a former Oil Spill Response Vessel class (OSRV), repurposed as a research, survey, supply and search & recovery vessel for Maritime Operations (both surface and subsea).
Vessel #2- R/V Bold Horizon: We’re hiring crew members to join the R/V Bold Horizon based out of San Diego, CA. The Bold Horizon is a research vessel that conducts a series of Maritime Operations (both surface and subsea) to include research, survey, supply and search & recovery.

Chief Engineer Position
Qualifications and Licenses needed:
Vessel #1: Chief Engineer Limited (or better) with OICEW for a research, survey, recovery and supply vessel based out of Astoria, OR. Experience with CAT equipment is preferred. Experience with Oil Spill Response Vessels (OSRV) is a plus.
Vessel #2: Chief Engineer Limited (preferred) for a research, survey, recovery and supply vessel based out of San Diego, CA. Experience of at least 1 year as chief engineer (or relief) preferred.
We are looking to hire immediately and will provide transportation to vessel.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Schedule:
· Current Rotation: 6 weeks on/off (Flexible for changes)
· 12-hour shift
Education:
· High school or equivalent (Preferred)
License/Certification:
· All Machinery is Caterpillar, and familiarity is a plus (Vessel 1)
· Oceans and STCW OICEW (Vessel 1)
· Full Day Rate Coming and Going + all travel expenses. (Both vessels)

Assistant Engineer
Duties of the job:
1. Responsible for using and maintaining Eng Rm department stores, spares and equipment.
2. Responsible for identifying and reporting needed repairs, making repairs and testing.
3. Responsible for the operation and maintenance of engine room machinery
4. Responsible for the operation and maintenance of ships systems (refrigeration, hydraulics, compressors etc.)
5. Responsible for the participating in use of the vessels firefighting and lifesaving equipment.
6. Responsible for the maintenance of the vessel’s sanitary systems and cleanliness of the vessel
7. Responsible for the maintenance and, as directed, of all deck equipment including winches.
8. Assists the ship’s officers in the development, training and execution of SOP’s, scheduled maintenance records
9. Crane Operations and Rigging Knowledge preferred. Training will be provided for vessels’ equipment.
Qualifications and Licenses:
Vessel #1: 3rd Assistant Engineer or DDE 4000 with OICEW or Unlimited with OICEW for a research, survey, recovery and supply vessel primarily based out of Astoria, OR.
· Valid MMC w/ 3rd Engineer License or DDE 4000 w/ OICEW or DDE Unlimited w/ OICEW
· STCW, TWIC and Valid Driver’s license
· All Machinery is Caterpillar and familiarity is a plus
· HS Diploma or Equivalent Required

Vessel #2: Assistant Engineer or QMED for a research, survey, ROV support vessel primarily based out of San Diego, CA. We are looking for the following qualifications:
· Valid MMC w/ QMED or DDE 4000 (preferred)
· Valid STCW/TWIC and Driver’s License
· HS Diploma or Equivalent Required
· Schedule: 8–12-hour shifts
· Rotation: Flexible (Current rotation 6 weeks on/off)
· Full Day Rate Coming and Going + all travel expenses paid
Captain Position
Qualifications and License needed: 1600 Ton Master Oceans, Boat handling Skills and experience with twin fixed pitch props for a 208ft vessel or twin variable pitch props for 170ft vessel required. Experience in navigating Pacific Ocean and Pacific coastline from San Diego CA to Seattle WA (experience in Canadian or Alaskan Waters is a plus). Experience station keeping is preferred. Will lead vessel charters for technical exercises and science expeditions. Should be able to manage a crew of 10 and work well with others. 10 years experience in Master/Chief Mate position preferred.
Active DoD secret clearance is benefit to the position.
License/Certification:
· 1600 Ton Master Oceans (Required)
· ECDIS (Required on one of our vessels)
· ARPA (Required on one of our vessels)

AB Position
Employee must possess active U.S.C.G. certification (MMC) Able Bodied (AB) Seaman with Deck Rating forming part of a navigational watch (RFPNW). Employee must have at sea experience in all aspects of deck seamanship and maintenance. Prior military service is desirable.
DUTIES OF THE JOB

6. Responsible for the maintenance of the vessel’s coating systems and cleanliness of the vessel in general.
7. Responsible for the maintenance and, as directed, the instruction of all aspects of marlinespike seamanship.
8. Assists the ship’s officers in the development, training and execution of all emergency drills and procedures.
9. Crane Operations and Rigging Knowledge required. Training will be provided for vessels’ equipment.
10. We are looking to hire immediately and will provide transportation to Everette Washington where the vessel is currently in the shipyard.
Salary:
· $275 – 450/Day depending on experience.
· Full Day Rate Coming and Going + all travel expenses.
Schedule:
· 4-hour navigation lookout in a 12-hour shift when underway.

Cook Position
Duties of the job:
· Responsible for safe and efficient operation of vessel's galley.
· Prepares all menus and meals. Meals shall be nutritious, three complete meals served daily.
· Procures all materials associated with catering services.
· Orders and inventories all foods and food service materials.
· Ensures safe, clean and efficient operation of the galley.
· Galley Lead will direct galley hands to assist in preparation of meals and service.
High School Graduate or equivalency certification minimum. Minimum 2 years general work experience related to maritime field with at least 6 months experience as lead chef or equivalent.
Must have MMC. Shall possess Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC).
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
