Open Positions for Two Vessels: Captain, Chief Mate, Mate, Chief Engineer, 3rd Assistant Engineer, QMED/Oiler & AB

CAPTAIN

Qualifications and License needed: 1600 Ton Master Oceans, Boat handling Skills and experience with twin variable pitch props for a 170ft vessel required. Experience in navigating Pacific Ocean and Pacific coastline from San Diego CA to Seattle WA including Canadian Waters is a plus. Will lead vessel charters for technical exercises and science expeditions. Should be able to manage a crew of 10 and work well with others. 10 years experience in Master/Chief Mate position preferred.


Active DoD secret clearance is benefit to the position.

COVID-19 Vaccination of crew members preferred.

License/Certification:

  1600 Ton Master Oceans (Required)

      ·        Current MMC/ STCW/ Physical

·         ECDIS (Required)

·         Arpa (Required)

·         Radar Certification (Required)

•  Daily Rate $650 and up depending on experience.

•  Full Day Rate Coming and Going + all travel expenses.

CHIEF MATE’S POSITION

Qualifications and License needed: 500/1600 Ton Master Oceans, or Chief Mate Unlimited. Boat handling Skills and experience with twin variable pitch props for a 170ft vessel required. Experience in navigating Pacific Ocean and Pacific coastline from San Diego CA to Seattle WA including Canadian Waters is a plus. Will assist in leading vessel charters for technical exercises and science expeditions. Should be able to help manage a crew of 10 and work well with others.

Experience:

5 years experience in Master/Chief Mate position preferred. Active DoD secret clearance is benefical.

COVID-19 Vaccination of crew members preferred. Temperature checks daily onboard and regular testing conducted prior to boarding when clients request it. Submit to random drug test when required

License/Certification:

Experience: 5 years experience in AB/Mate’s position preferred.

Qualifications or License needed: Chief Engineer Limited or DDE unlimited with OICEW for a research, survey, recovery and supply vessel primarily based out of San Diego,Ca..

•  Full-time Salary:  $650 per day

SCHEDULE:

•  12-hour shifts. Rotation is 2 months on / 2 months off

EDUCATION:

·        High school or equivalent (Preferred) License/Certification

·        Knowledge of Microsoft Excel/Word (Preferred)

·        Valid MMC w/ Chief Limited or DDE Unlimited

·        All Machinery is Caterpillar and familiarity is a plus.

·        Experience with Hydraulic systems and refrigeration (Preferred)

·        Valid STCW/TWIC and driver’s license

·        Full Day Rate Coming and Going + all travel expenses. Work Location: Home Port San Diego ,California and offshore.

3rd ASSISTANT ENGINEER

Qualifications and License needed: DDE limited/DDE Unlimited or 3rd Engineer license for a research, survey, recovery and supply vessel primarily based out of San Diego,Ca.

License/Certification:

·         Valid MMC w/ 3rd Engineer License or DDE 4000 with OICEW.

·         STCW, TWIC and Valid Driver’s license.

·         All Machinery is Caterpillar and familiarity is a plus.

·         HS Diploma or Equivalent Required.

COMPENSATION:

·         $500 Per Day. Rotation- 60 day on/60 days off

·         Full Day Rate Coming and Going + all travel expenses. Work Location: Home Port San Diego and offshore

QMED/OILER

Qualifications and License needed: QMED/Oiler for a research, survey, ROV support vessel primarily based out of San Diego,Ca.. . We are looking for the following qualifications:

      ·        Valid STCW/TWIC and Driver’s License

·         MMC w/ QMED certificate

DUTIES OF THE JOB

1. Responsible for using and maintaining Eng Rm department stores, spares and equipment.

2. Responsible for identifying and reporting needed repairs, making repairs and testing.

3.  Responsible for the operation and maintenance of engine room machinery

4.  Responsible for the operation and maint. of ships systems (refrigeration,hydraulic,compressors etc.)

5.  Responsible for the participating in use of the vessels firefighting and lifesaving equipment.

6.  Responsible for the maintenance of the vessel’s sanitary systems and cleanliness of the vessel

7.  Responsible for the maintenance and, as directed, of all deck equipment including winches.

8.  Assists the ship’s officers in the development, training and execution of SOP’s, Scheduled Maint records

9. Crane Operations and Rigging Knowledge preferred. Training will be provided for vessels’ equipment.

COMPENSATION:

      ·         Full Day Rate $400 per day.

      ·         S400 – $450 Depending on experience

      ·            Schedule: 12 hour shifts,Rotation 60 days on/ 30 days off

      ·         Full Day Rate Coming and Going + all travel expenses paid
