The Training Ship Kennedy offers a unique opportunity to sail a training cruise with cadets during Sea Term 2024 from April 15th- May 26th. Following a week of alongside training, TS Kennedy departs Buzzards Bay on April 20th to support the teaching and training of freshmen, sophomore, and senior cadets. All sailing aboard TS Kennedy must hold a T.W.I.C. card; MMA Human Resources will assist in the attainment of the credential for those who are eligible, but do not hold a current T.W.I.C.
DECK WATCH STANDER—The successful candidate will stand as a deck watch officer on the bridge of TS Kennedy. Reporting to the Chief Mate in the Deck Department, the individual will also assist with shipboard maintenance.
· Must possess a valid Third Mate Unlimited USCG credential and hold all USCG Certificates and STCW endorsements required of a 3rd Mate/ OICNW. Must possess a valid passport.
ENGINEERING WATCH STANDER—The successful candidate will stand as Engineer Officer of the Watch in the engine room of TS Kennedy. Reporting to the Chief Engineer, the individual will also assist in the shipboard maintenance.
- Must possess a valid Third Assistant Engineer’s Unlimited USCG credential, with Steam endorsement and hold all USCG Certificates and STCW endorsements required of a 3rd Assistant Engineer Unlimited Horsepower.
